Uncrowded beach sheltered from big swells and SW winds. A good option for beginners and intermediates when the swell is up.
Oysterhaven was the place to learn windsurfing in the late 80's and has also been popular with long boarders enjoying the scenery. A nice little sheltered bay, ideal for learning.
Sandy and consistent beach break that has remained uncrowded. Booties recommended due to weaver fish. Cross beach beside Carrowniskey is also good for surfing.
