Kitesurfing in Ireland

Ireland's windy coast offers ideal conditions for kitesurfing, even in the East coast. Around Dublin area, there are locations from Dollymount/Bull Island towards north as well as Sandymount down south all the way to Waterford. Tramore on the south coast is known as one of the most consistent places for kitesurfers with favourable winds. West coast with its prevailing southwesterly winds and long sandy beaches is consistently good. With beginner friendly beaches, such as Lahinch and Brandon Bay or Rossnowlagh and Belmullet towards north you cannot run out of options here. For inland kitesurfing, try Ladies Island lake in Wexford or Achill Island.
