Ballycotton / Ballynamona beach is not known as a wave beach but can be good for some kite sessions. Shallow water especially in high tide. There is seaweed and some rocks on the far left and right of the spot, visible at low tide. Best wind direction is NE-E winds.
The beach south of Yoghal, also dubbed the Red Barn, is SE facing. The bay is nice and safe either side although at low tide there are occasional rocks.
A southerly facing beach in a bay that can get nice swells. Shallow access with flat to choppy water.
