Inchydowney Island offers a beautiful sandy Blue flag beach. This is a sheltered river break with some dangerous rips. Best in SW swell with offshore N wind.
Garrylucas beach is a Blue flag sandy beach in the Cork area. Lifeguarded during the summer months.
Reasonably consistent surf all year. Deep cliff lined bay offers some SW wind protection for a central peak. Offshore N winds. Receives a mix of groundswells and windswells, ideal at SW swell. A big drop and current from the rivermouth. Nor for beginners.
