Beach break for beginners and reef to the left of the beach for more advanced surfers. It is rare to get good surf on the eastern coastline and conditions are dependent on good E swell or wind swell.
Long shallow sandy beach with small waves breaking on several sandbars. Flat before them. Clogherhead in the north end is an alternative spot.
