Uncrowded beach sheltered from big swells and SW winds. A good option for beginners and intermediates when the swell is up.
Sheltered when big swell and wind is driving past the bay. Most people will head to Aughris Head around the corner though as its a smaller bay and cleans anything wrapping round up a bit. Nice beach bar with food to warm up in after too.
