Lough Derg, the third largest lake in Ireland, is a long and narrow lake on river Shannon. Mountshannon is good for either longboard sailing or short board blasting.
Dromineer on the opposite side is ideal for beginners and improvers. The beach is in sheltered and you can still venture out on the lake for a longer ride.
There is also a Shannonside sailing school operating on the lake.
